Physical Description: Tobias is of average height and build. His brown hair is almost shoulder length with some grey patches in it. His face is intimidating to some and handsome to others. His chin is chiselled and his cheekbones are high. His eyes tell a story of a tired man with a troubled past, which he has had. He isn't too muscular, his work gets in the way of exercising.
Distinguishing Marks: Marx's right arm has been disfigured as a result of an experiment conducted on himself. The arm is slightly larger than the left (muscle wise) and it is riddled with long, jet black veins going all the way up into his shoulder almost to his neck.
Personality: Tobias is always teetering on the line of insanity. He is one of the most unorthodox doctors in all of the Federation. He has been criticized by his colleagues for practising unsafe experiments, and talking back to his superiors. His fellow crew members call him lazy and arrogant, which is somewhat true. He lets his nurses and orderlies do all the minor work in sickbay while he quietly sits back enjoying his wine and novels. He considers himself the most brilliant doctor of the 24th century, and often talks highly of himself.
Deep down though, Tobias is a caring person with a troubled past. He can be warm, caring and passionate to the right person. Tobais is also bisexual, favouring male nor female, attracted equally to both.

Tobias was born in Liberia on March 26, 2359. His father and mother were originally from England, but moved to Liberia to open a clinic to provide medical care in the most impoverished areas. He grew up lending a helping hands to his parents. Tobias was certain he was going to be a doctor since his youth. In his teenage years he heard about Starfleet Medical Academy, and as soon as he was old enough, he went to San Francisco.
At the young age of 18, Tobias was studying at Starfleet Medical Academy. He was an unruly student who was more interested in swooning women (and men) instead of learning about how to properly use a Medical Tricorder. However, over 4 years he became a brilliant student. He graduated from the Medical Academy at age 22 with an Doctor Of Medicine degree. He then spent four years at Starfleet Academy for officer training, and Genetic Sciences. Tobias graduated in 2385.
His first assignment was to the USS Biko, a small Oberth class vessel. He served for one year, and in that time he published his theories on modern genetics, which grabbed the attention of some shady organizations. In 2386, he was relived of duty under order of Section 31 and taken to a remote station on Earth's moon along with 20 other Scientists and Doctors. These scientists (Including Marx) had caught the attention of Section 31 with their theories on Genetics. Against their will, they were all forced to work on a highly classified project Dubbed Operation Terra. The objective of Operation Terra, was to create a substance that would alter the genetic code of Starfleet Personnel, making them superhuman. No scientist could leave the moon base, or make contact with loved ones. If they tried to, they would be executed. Tobias Marx was forced to do experiments on human test subjects with unsafe serums. He and the other scientists were responsible for the death of 17 test subjects, with no end to justify the means.
After five years with no progress, the project was dropped and the scientists were let free under strict surveillance of Section 31. Free from the tyranny of Section 31 and carrying a troubled past he returned to Liberia, to help his family with the clinic. He hoped the time home would clear his mind from the travesties he was forced to commit, unfortunately he was scarred forever. 5 years of living in Liberia and publishing several new theories and essays, Tobias returned to Starfleet as a Lt. Commander. He was assigned to Tlumach Fleet Yards as the CMO.
