Ensign (Command)

CHARACTER INFORMATION
Name: Luke Dragos

Rank: Chief Warrant Officer 2nd Class

Position: Command Chief and Chief Flight Control Officer

Gender: Male

Species: El-Aurian

Age: 136

PHYSICAL APPEARANCE
Height: 175 cm (5'9")

Weight: 74.4 kilograms (164 pounds)

Eye Color: Green

Hair Color: Dirty Blond

Physical Description: Luke stands at 175 centimeters, which is about average for an El-Aurian of his age. Also average is his weight of about 75 kilos. His eyes are a soft green color. His past boyfriends claimed that it was his best feature, but he tends to disagree. He likes to keep his hair, a dirty blond color, relatively short, cutting it only when his bangs reach his eyes.

PERSONALITY & TRAITS
General Overview: Luke is a typical El-Aurian in the fact that he makes friends with relative ease. He does however tend to get quickly attached to people he considers friends, and it hits him very hard when he has to leave them. So he likes to keep in touch with them over subspace as much as he can. He loves to listen, but what El-Aurian doesn't? Luke has always had a warm heart, in contrast to his father's relatively cold heart. But what his father lacked in love, he made up for in his engineering skills, which he passed on to Luke. Luke is also gay, which has sparked a few negative feelings from his past shipmates, but for the most part he is accepted. He loves to flirt when he has the chance, too.

Strengths & Weaknesses: His strengths include listening, flight control, engineering, medicine, and psychology. His weaknesses include temporal mechanics, working in large groups, as well as addressing a large group. But he's working on those.

Ambitions: He wishes to have reached a high position in almost all departments in the Federation. Including becoming the captain of his own ship, and eventually an Admiral.

Hobbies & Intrests: Luke usually keeps a program on the holodeck to relax himself. He currently works on an old Earth aircraft, called a P-51 Mustang, in his holoprogram. He also enjoys wandering the corridors with a cup of cappuccino before his shifts.

Languages: El-Aurian, Terran(English), Partial Klingon, Limited Ferengi, and Most Romulan and Vulcan.

Father: Lance Dragos

Mother: Kate Mulwaski

HISTORY
Luke was born on February 3rd, 2260 in England on Earth. His father owned a small cargo shuttle service, and taught him the basics of shuttle engines, design, and piloting. While Luke was interested in the engineering and designing aspect, he was most intruigued by the piloting part of it all. He went on to help his father with the service until he was about 25. He had decided to go with his mother for a couple of years. She worked as a nurse on a Starfleet vessel, The USS Ordane. He enjoyed space travel, and decided to go to the academy 5 years later, which started his first career with Starfleet, as a doctor. He went and graduated in the year 2294. His first posting was on the USS Proven, a Contitution Refit Class. He considers this ship to have been the best he had served on. He loved the operation of it, the reality of it. He says today's starships are far too automated by computers. He served as the Proven's nurse for 6 years. He was then reassigned to the USS Prophecy, a Miranda Class ship. While he served on the Prophecy, he got into a little trouble. He stole a shuttle to save a young man from being executed. He was demoted from Lt. Jr. Grade, down to an Ensign. He never regretted the descision to save the young man, and would do it again. After serving on the Prophecy for 14 years, he was reassigned to the USS Hood, an Excelsior class vessel. In the 15 years he served on the Hood, he was made Head Nurse, and then Assistant Chief Medical Officer. It was on the Hood that he developed a cure for a mysterious virus found in the Bray Nebula, after it had infected almost a quarter of the ship's population. He was sad to leave the Hood after 15 years. He had been re-assigned to the USS Ambassador. The first Ambassador class starship. After serving for 20 years, he never liked the way it looked. He said it always looked to bulky, that it needed to be more sleek. The chief engineer agreed. He developed quite a familiarity with the engine room on the Ambassador, asking to observe during his off hours. It was about this time that he had decided that once he left Starfleet, becuase he knew he would eventually, he would come back into the Flight Control program at the Academy. After 20 years on the Ambassador, the longest time he ever served on a ship so far, he was re-assigned to the USS Fearless, an Excelsior class starship. This was probably the most uneventful assignment in his medical career. There were no real challenges to his medical knowledge, no mysterious plagues that needed cures, nothing to make him enjoy his posting on the Fearless. He was almost ecstatic when he was re-assigned to the USS Galaxy. He had been following the development of the Galaxy class project since it had started. He was impressed with its size and design. After serving in Starfleet for 72 years, and 32 years of being an Assistant Chief Medical Officer, he finally decided to leave his Medical career with starfleet. He settled in a small town in North America, hoping to find a husband. He had no such luck, however. He returned to Starfleet 15 years later, this time to be a pilot in the Flight Control program at the Academy, just like he wanted to. He went to the Academy in 2380, and graduated in 2384. His first assignment was the USS Vesuvius, a Legacy Class starship. He had never been so impressed with a starship design. It looked fast just sitting in the drydock. He couldn't have asked for a better first assignment at the Helm. After serving as the Vesuvius's Chief Flight Control Officer for 10 years while being a Warrant Officer, he was assigned to Starbase Archangel and the Tlumach Fleet Yards, and was promoted to Chief Warrant Officer, 2nd Class. Here he would get to watch ships get built, tested, and launched. His duties as Command Chief and Chief Flight Control Officer made him a very busy person, but he has enjoyed every minute of it.
