Personal History: Ferarl was found by an away team answering a distress call from a seemingly uninhabited planet. When they found the crashed ship the Caitian Female and Human male were both dead with no identification on them or in the ships computer. A hybrid child was discovered in a crib, badly undernourished the child would have not lived more than a day or so if the away team hadn't found her. A small pillow in the crib with her was embroidered with the word 'Ferarl' across the corner, this was taken to be the child's name. Upon returning to earth she was placed with numerous foster parents, but as she grew and her Caitian nature warred with her human side for control she was constantly moved from home to home, never finding somewhere she belonged.

Starfleet Academy: Attended the academy where she was disciplined more than once for her temper, but proved to have an almost uncanny knack with engineering systems and graduated top of her class.
